Silk was born Silk was born in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada. Ilkay Silk was a well-known actor, director and producer who also taught the course at St. Thomas University. In the following decade, she relocated in Los Angeles. Seth Cooperman became her husband in 2007, after they met during an ActorsWorkshop held at Los Angeles. In 2009 they were legally married in December of 2009. On April 10, 2011 the couple renewed their vows in the context of a Jewish ceremony in Fredericton following her conversion to Judaism.
