Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw, also known as Elizabeth Alice MacGraw, is an American author and designer who has won numerous awards for her writing and design. She has been a vocal advocate for human rights for animals. Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus '69 and The Getaway '72 are some of her most famous movies. Her desire to be an artist was inspired from her childhood in the New York family of artists. Beginning she was employed as an photographer's assistant. Then, her career shifted to modeling and directing. MacGraw was noticed in two of her films and was awarded the Golden Globe Award for Most Promising Newcomer. Her film MacGraw's Love Story from 1970 was a huge hit that brought the world to her and also an Academy Award nominee and Golden Globe Award. In just three films, MacGraw was declared as the top female performer at the box office in history. The Grauman's Chinese Theater engraved her autograph as well as foot prints, hand prints, and footprints in the year 1972. She was a part of several other films including The Getaway Convoy Players and the miniseries on TV The Winds of War among other. In 1991, her autobiography Moving Pictures came out. MacGraw was married to three individuals.
