Hayley Orrantia is the American singer-songwriter and actress. She is best known as Erica Goldberg from the TV comedy show "The Goldbergs". She is primarily a performer. When she was nine years old of age, she was playing around with music. As she grew to the age of 12 her music began to take an adolescent turn and she began professional training. She began songwriting when she was 13 and was only 14 when she made her debut album of covers songs. The rest is history. Orrantia is a native of America and has Hispanic roots. Although she never lived or was a Spanish speaker in Mexico, she still feels extremely proud of her Hispanic heritage. By learning Spanish and writing songs she tries to maintain the spirit of her culture. One of her attempts was an original Spanish song titled 'Hasta Verte..' Orrantia was a part of The X Factor season 1's auditions throughout the summer of 2011. Orrantia was awarded four "yeses" to the panel of judges on the Seattle live audition stage after being selected from her YouTube entry. While she auditioned initially on her own during "Hollywood Week" the singer, along with three other female vocalists were put into groups for the remaining part of the auditions. They were eliminated during the fifth week of live shows.
