Born in Privett, Hampshire, Chung is the daughter of Gillian and Phillip Chung. She was half Chinese and half English. The mother of Chung is English. Chung went to high school in the Perins School in the area and later took the sixth grade for sixth grade at Peter Symonds College. Chung was admitted to King's College London, where she studied English. Before joining King's College London, she was approached by a model agency.
